For our Content Policy, we’ve adopted similar policies to the BBFC’s 12A/12 rating. It may help you to understand that having your content removed does not constitute a strike against your account; however we will take action after repeat instances if you ignore our warnings.
The following is taken, in part, from the BBFC’s 12A/12 classification. While it was written with longer creative works such as television and film in mind, it can also be applied to content uploaded to Sudomemo.
Language
There may be moderate bad language. Strong language may be permitted, depending on the manner in which it is used, who is using the language, its frequency within the work as a whole and any special contextual justification.
Violence
There may be moderate violence but it should not dwell on detail. There should be no emphasis on injuries or blood, but occasional gory moments may be permitted if justified by the context.
Threat and horror
There may be moderate physical and psychological threat and horror sequences. Although some scenes may be disturbing, the overall tone should not be. Horror sequences should not be frequent or sustained.
Differences from the 12A/12 Rating
The following outlines where Sudomemo’s policies differ from the 12A/12 rating.
Discrimination
We do not permit use of discriminatory language (including slurs) or behavior.
Drugs
We do not permit depictions of the misuse of drugs. Smoking is unlikely to be acceptable but may be permitted if justified by context. In the case of smoking, it should be infrequent and should not be glamorized.
Nudity
There may be brief nudity, but not in a sexual context.
Sex
We don’t permit depiction of sexual activity. Moderate sex references and innuendos are permitted, but frequent crude references are unlikely to be acceptable.
Additional Information
We also suggest reading our Terms of Use, especially Section 4 (“Content Policy”) for additional information.
